Charity of the Year - Junction One Joins Forces with RNLI

International outlet shopping centre Junction One has pledged to raise much needed funds during 2008 for RNLI's Train One, Save Many Campaign and the high profile charity will be Junction One's designated Charity of the Year. The partnership kicked off pre Christmas with the launch of a specially designed children's Advent Calendar and throughout the year there will be a huge range of centre based events and fund-raising activities.

Miss Northern Ireland 2008

This year Junction One once again backed the prestigious Miss NI competition which attracts entries from far and wide. Fermanagh girl Judith Wilson won this year's coveted title and was crowned at a glittering gala ceremony on 16th June at the Europa Hotel, Belfast. Judith will represent Miss NI at the Miss World contest set to be held in Kiev, the Ukraine later this year. For more information log onto www.missnorthernireland.co.uk.

Junction One Backs Randalstown Hockey Club

Junction One is lending its support to high profile ladies hockey club, Randalstown and for the 2007/08 & 2008/09 season will sponsor shirts for the first eleven team whilst the 2nds will also wear Junction One branded tops.

Junction One Backs BT Woman Awards 2008

Junction One is again backing the Belfast Telegraph's highly successful BT Woman Awards with support for the Sportswoman of the Year category. Last year this trophy was presented to mountaineer Hannah Shields.

Leona Barr, Junction One's centre manager said, "Last year's event was truly inspirational and rewarded women from all walks of life and Junction One is delighted to once again sponsor the Sportswomen of the Year category. Hannah has no doubt inspired many girls locally to take up new challenges and we believe our range of sports stores at Junction One will help women to look and feel good as they strive to achieve their sporting and fitness goals."

The Gala Awards evening will be a night to remember and will be held at the Europa Hotel on 22nd October.

International Rib Raid 2007

Junction One International Outlet Shopping Centre is once again partnering high profile sailing event Ribraid which this year staged an exciting trip during May round Strangford Lough and onwards to the Isle of Man.

The next stage of this enthralling adventure takes place from 27th - 29th July and features a few glorious days of performance boating round Belfast Lough after which the flotilla leaves for Scotland. The trip begins at Bangor Marina, then tours the shores of Belfast Lough, venturing right into the heart of Belfast before heading off to Portpatrick for the final outward leg and the RIbraid awards ceremony.

Miss Northern Ireland 2007

Junction One was delighted to support the high profile Miss Northern Ireland contest in 2007 for the third consecutive year. This year's winner, Belfast girl Melissa Patton was crowned Junction One Miss NI on 25th June and has gone on to model for Junction One on several occasions. At the Gala Awards ceremony in the Europa Hotel Junction One announced a further 2 year sponsorship package for Miss NI and the outlet centre will back the competition until 2009.

Peter Pan at the Grand Opera House

Junction One is the lead sponsor of the Grand Opera House's 2006 pantomime - Peter Pan. Starring Northern Ireland's Queen of Comedy May McFettridge as Mrs Smee, Jack Ellis of Bad Girls fame as Captain Hook and CITV idol Aston Merrygold as Peter Pan performances begin on 2nd December 2006 and finish on 20th January 2007.

Junction One is delighted to come on board to support Ribraid for the first time. North West 200

Junction One is sponsoring the best overall newcomer and best female rider awards at this year’s Kennedy Group International North West 200. Junction One – which was title sponsor of the event in 2004 and 2005 – is giving the best overall newcomer £2,000 and the best female rider £1,000. In 2005 Junction One became main sponsor of the prestigious fashion and beauty event, Miss Northern Ireland and will continue to back the contest until 2007. This year's winner Catherine Milligan from Newtownards was crowned Junction One Miss Northern Ireland 2006 at a gala ceremony held in the Europa Hotel on 19th June. Junction One, supported by Toni & Guy will sponsor this year’s glamorous Co Antrim and Co Down Rose of Tralee heat to take place on Friday 19th May at the Hilton hotel in Templepatrick.
