Junction One Celebrates 5th Birthday with Summer Market
1 July 2009

Junction One is launching its summer season and 5th birthday celebrations with a family friendly programme of entertainment and an outdoor summer market featuring up to 30 stalls offering gourmet local and continental foods, bespoke crafts, antiques and jewellery. The 6 day seasonal event will be held from Thursday 2nd to Tuesday 7th July.

Explained centre manager Leona Barr, “Our first ever Easter market was a resounding success with visitors voting with their feet and coming along to Junction One in their hundreds to sample the foods on offer and enjoy the huge range of family activities including a Victorian carousel, a bouncy castle, clowns and face painting. With so many people planning to holiday on home territory this summer and with schools breaking up for the summer on 30th June, we felt a summer market would create the perfect buzz and holiday atmosphere.”

Popular stalls will include Spice Indian Restaurant and Alex Berry’s gourmet burger and salad bar. The continental style market will be located in the mall walkway and is set to enhance the overall visitor experience for shoppers at Junction One. “We’re delighted to welcome back traders from our Easter event and look forward to several new names joining us in July and believe the event will attract even more new shoppers to check out our 70 plus stores and restaurants.” said Leona Barr. “In addition to summer clearance being in full swing Junction One also has new stores – world famous pottery retailer Denby, Tom Tailor Kids and sports store, The Golf Outlet to deliver even more value and choice for customers.”
