Good Customer Service Can Make All the Difference Says Junction One

 

Junction One is driving home the message that excellence in customer service really can impact positively on retail sales especially during the ‘credit crunch’,  by inviting charismatic retail motivational coach Alf Dunbar to host his first ever workshop on the island of Ireland.

 

Over 30 managers and staff representing many of Junction One’s 70 stores took part in Alf’s unique “You are the Difference’ seminar which was developed on the shop floor working with thousands of real customers. The coaching programme highlights practical and common sense ways of improving day to day customer service, individual performance and ultimately generates additional bottom line sales. A key part of the programme also looks at how important attitude is in everything we do and provides simple tools that can help make every day a more positive one.

 

Welcoming Alf to his first ever Irish based event Junction One’s retail operations manager Valerie McLernon said, “Although customer service is always a key factor for retailers, its role is even more critical in a tough retail climate. Junction One felt it was important to proactively support our tenants by setting up this training opportunity and also by funding 50% of the workshop costs thereby underlining our commitment to both our stores and our customers.”    

 

Scots entrepreneur Alf Dunbar’s ‘You are the Difference’ coaching programme has been implemented by a wide range of companies and organisations throughout the UK and in 25 countries worldwide - from Marks and Spencer and John Lewis to Bank of Scotland and Aberdeen  and Fulham football clubs.
