RAVEL FIRST IRISH OUTLET AT JUNCTION ONE
Fashion Footwear retailer Ravel’s first factory outlet store in Ireland will open at Junction One International Outlet Shopping Centre, Antrim in early November 2006.
Explains John Drummond, Director, Junction One, “We are delighted to be able to announce that we have exchanged contracts with Ravel to open a 2,450 sq ft unit at Junction One next month. With shop fitting about to start, this will be their first store to open in Ireland.”
Roy Carter, Managing Director, Ravel, said, “Junction One is the premier and largest outlet centre, planned or existing in Ireland, with its established record of success throughout the retail sector coupled with its enviable year-on-year sales growth and dominating tenant mix Junction One had to be our first opening in Ireland for our new dynamic Ravel outlet operation. We have had a Clarks outlet in Junction One since it opened and enjoy working with the Junction One team in a true partnership. Whilst we are planning other smaller units in Ireland, our arrival at Junction One is a true first in terms of contracts exchanged and trading beginning. We are looking forward to our opening at Junction One in the next few weeks thus marking Ravels inauguration into Ireland’s outlet sector.”
At Junction One, Ravel will join a comprehensive mix of footwear and fashion retailers including Clarks and ECCO/Pierre Cardin, alongside the extensive range of fashion, sports and leisure footwear and apparel offered by Adidas, Nike, Reebok, Ellesse/Speedo, Polo Ralph Lauren, Lakeland Leather, Next, M&S, Logo, Klass and Autonomy amongst others. Stead and Simpson will also open next year in Phase ID.
Since opening in 2004 Junction One has welcomed over 7 million people with CACI reports describing a mature centre which is now an established part of consumer’s shopping patterns attracting 81% repeat visitors. With 245,000 sq ft of retail space already let and an additional 58,000 sq ft scheduled to open next year, Junction One will be the second largest factory outlet centre in the UK, behind Cheshire Oaks and more than 50% larger than either of the planned Irish outlets at Banbridge and Ballymac.
