Child Safety at Junction One
Your children's safety is very important to us. We have joined the national Child Safe Initiative, Child Safe Zones, to help both parents and children become reunited as quickly as possible.
Families are encouraged to register with Child Safe Zones. For more information, pick up a leaflet at the Junction One Visitor Information Centre or visit the website: www.childsafezones.co.uk.
Wristbands
On entering the Junction One a wristband can be collected from the Visitor Information Centre. The wristband is bright, waterproof and tough. It allows a parent/guardian to write a mobile number inside the band, so if a child is lost they can quickly become reunited.
Look out for the window stickers
Brightly coloured window stickers are displayed in every store window which help provide shoppers with simple safety information and contact details should a child get lost. The emergency number displayed on the sticker puts worried parents or lost children directly in touch with the security team.
If you lose a child
Should you lose a child at Junction One, the advice is simple:
- Stay close to where you last saw them
- Look for the nearest sticker displayed on shop windows and doors.
- Ring the number displayed.
- Speak directly to the security team who will help you.
Child Safe Zones initiative
This initiative is designed to help:
- Parents or guardians who lose a child.
- Anyone finding a lost, injured or worried child.
- A young child, who can look for the nearest orange balloon window sticker and ask a member of staff for help.
- An older child or teenager who needs help.
